Vineyard
Management
Managing
a vineyard in Argentina is not easy, and nearly impossible for
foreign investors without regular oversight by a trusted
in-country partner. The way that vines are planted, nurtured, watered,
pruned, weeded and harvested affects the quality of the grapes
for years to come. In addition, the challenges of ground
covers, nutrient enhancements, pest abatement, and finding
skilled workers at critical times such as harvest and pruning
are significant.
For owners who spend the majority of the year living overseas,
we make periodic vineyard reviews which range from simple site
visits to complete audits of vineyard practices. The degree of
involvement depends on the on-site manager’s expertise and
the owner’s goals.
